This place has stocked lakes. They are small but have plenty of fish and the water is clean enough that you can see the fish through the water. They have different price plans from free to fish and just pay for what you catch or you can pay to to go to the big river and catch bigger fish. I brought my 11 year old son here and he had fun and caught himself 2 rainbow trout that were 2 pound and 3 pound. Definitely big enough to cook. Worth the trip and we will definitely be back

We took our 7 and 3 year old kids fishing for the first time, and Lake Julian Trout Farm was the perfect choice. The kids enjoyed every second of it. There are three ponds: big, medium, and small. The big pond requires a $100 membership, which allows you to catch two fish of each kind and bring two guests with you.

The medium and small ponds, which are stocked with rainbow trout, are great for kids. No membership is needed; you simply pay for what you catch—$11.99 per pound. If you’d like, they can also clean the fish for $2 each. There’s also a small bait shop with a wide variety of fishing supplies.

We’ll definitely be coming back with our kids!
